Ledger Room is Annelli Deyzel — four years of bookkeeping for small and medium companies, working remotely from the West Coast. Monthly books, payroll, management accounts and SARS submissions, handled properly so you can get back to the work you actually do.

Three of the four are in the monthly fee, whichever tier you are on. Payroll is the one thing billed on top, because it is the one cost that scales with your headcount rather than with your books — the reasoning is in the pricing section.
Bank and card transactions captured and reconciled, supplier and customer invoices matched, and your accounts kept current instead of caught up in a panic at year end. You get a clean, closed set of books each month and a clear picture of what came in and what went out.
Monthly payroll run in SimplePay: payslips issued to your staff, PAYE, UIF and SDL calculated, and the numbers ready for submission on schedule. New starters, leavers and changes handled without the month grinding to a halt.
A monthly or quarterly report pack — income statement, balance sheet and a cash flow summary — so you can see how the business is actually performing, not just that the books are tidy. Presented plainly, with the movements worth your attention pointed out rather than left for you to find.
EMP201 monthly declarations and EMP501 employer reconciliations prepared and filed on eFiling, with deadlines tracked so nothing arrives late and nothing attracts a penalty. Both come with the payroll module rather than being billed on their own.
Those two are where I work fastest, and where I would put a new client if the choice were mine. If your books already live somewhere else, that is not a problem — I pick up new packages quickly and have no interest in making you migrate for my convenience.
Step 01
We talk through your business, what your books look like right now, and what you actually need each month. No charge, no obligation — if I am not the right fit I will say so.
Step 02
You give me read-only access to your bank feed and accounting file, plus last year's records. Nothing more than I need, and nothing that lets me move money.
Step 03
Within two weeks I have your first month reconciled and closed, and you know exactly what the monthly rhythm will look like from there.
The monthly fee depends on how many lines have to be classified — so a five-person firm with a quiet month is not pushed into a package built for somebody busier. Management accounts and your year-end pack are in every tier at no extra charge. Payroll is the one thing billed on top, because it is the one cost that genuinely scales with your headcount.
R3 500
per month
For owner-run businesses with an account or two and a steady, light month.
Over 75 in a month, R28 a transaction — and you hear about it before it reaches an invoice.
EnquireR6 400
per month
For companies whose volume has outgrown a single account, with staff or without.
Over 200 in a month, R18 a transaction — and you hear about it before it reaches an invoice.
EnquireR10 500
per month
For established companies running several accounts, or a genuinely busy trading month.
Over 500 in a month, R12 a transaction — and you hear about it before it reaches an invoice.
EnquireOver 500 transactions a month, or a payment gateway that needs its own treatment. Priced after a look at a live month of data, rather than guessed at from a published figure that would be wrong for both of us.
What counts as a transaction. One transaction is any line that has to be classified: a bank or card line, a supplier bill, a customer invoice, or a journal. Transfers between your own accounts count once, not twice. If a month runs over your included volume the overage rate for your tier applies, and I will tell you before it lands on an invoice, not after.
Income statement, balance sheet and cash flow summary, with a call to walk through the numbers. Monthly or quarterly, whichever suits how you run the business — you choose the rhythm, and it does not change the fee.
Trial balance, supporting schedules and documentation assembled and handed over, so your accountant is not billing you to sort out twelve months of loose ends first.
Reconciled, closed and handed over on a schedule you can plan around, rather than caught up in a panic at year end.
R450 a month, plus R95 per payslip
Monthly payroll run in SimplePay, payslips issued to your staff, PAYE, UIF and SDL calculated. EMP201 monthly declarations filed. New starters, leavers and changes handled without the month grinding to a halt.
Both EMP501 employer reconciliations are included rather than billed on their own. When the payroll has run here all year, the reconciliation is largely a by-product of it, and charging twice for the same work would be hard to justify.
It is priced per payslip because that is how the work actually scales, and it sits outside the monthly fee so that a company with staff and a quiet month is not paying for volume it does not have.
4 employees, R830 a month · 10 employees, R1 400 · 20 employees, R2 350
No staff, about 60 transactions a month.
R3 500per month
Four staff, about 180 transactions a month, reporting each quarter.
R7 230per month
Twelve staff, about 450 transactions a month, reporting every month.
R12 090per month
An estimate rather than a quote. Management accounts and the year-end pack are already in the figure, because they are in every tier; once-off catch-up work on historical books is not, because it is priced once I have seen what is there. The fee is confirmed on the free call.
Fees are not subject to VAT. Ledger Room is not a registered VAT vendor, so no VAT is added and none appears on your invoice. Should that change, you will have 60 days' notice. Once-off catch-up work on historical books is quoted separately after a look at what is there.
Fees are reviewed each March, with 60 days' notice of any change.
I have been doing bookkeeping for over four years, and I work for myself — when you hire Ledger Room you are hiring me, not an account manager who passes your file to someone else.
Most of my clients are professional services firms and e-commerce businesses: consultancies, agencies and online stores where transaction volumes are high, the admin piles up quickly, and nobody in the building enjoys reconciling a payment gateway.
I work remotely from Saint Helena Bay on the West Coast, in Afrikaans or English, Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 16:00. You will know when your month closes, and you will not have to ask twice for a straight answer.
“Our books used to be a month behind, permanently. Annelli fixed that in her first quarter with us and they have not slipped since.”
“Payroll goes out on the same day every month and I no longer think about SARS deadlines. That is worth a great deal.”
“She answers questions in plain language and tells you when something needs attention before it becomes a problem.”
Tell me a little about your business and where the books currently stand. No charge, no obligation — if I am not the right fit I will say so.
